S'Albufera de Mallorca is the most extensive wetland of the Balearic Islands. It is separated from the sea by a cordon of dunes. Although some 18 million years ago there were already meadow formations, the current wet zone was formed less than 100,000 years ago, but with the passage of time has changed its morphology to the current state.

Can Picafort beach, is located about 9 km from Santa Margalida and is known as the tourist center par excellence of the municipality, characterized by being the only one in Mallorca that has a campsite: the Platja Blava campsite and the Colonia de Sant Pere.
