San Bartolome Convent

It is located in the Es Raiguer region, in the interior of the island. Inca is among the first cities on the island in terms of number of inhabitants. Historically, the municipality had Talayotic settlements that continued to be inhabited during Roman rule, until the s. V. In Islamic times it was called 'Inkàn', and some vestiges remain of the Arab presence, such as the 'sinies' and the 'ganats' or 'foggara', different systems for drawing underground water. The rise of the town began at the beginning of the 20th century, when, favored by the train and the installation of a gas factory, the first industries in the leather sector appeared, mainly aimed at footwear. In Inca there is a market every Thursday, considered one of the most important in Mallorca.

Church Santa Maria la Major

Temple built on an old site, here lay the Parish Church of Santa María de Inca from the year 1248. The current church, from the Baroque period, is the third to be built (1706-1893). It has a single nave finished in a semicircular apse. It is covered by a half-pointed vault with stained glass. The most interesting part is the side door presided over by the image of the Mother of God of the Angels. The bell tower (16th-17th centuries), separated from the main façade, predates the current church. It is quadrangular, with a pointed door and is made of stone.

The peculiarity of this house is that it is suspected that it was built on an old Jewish quarter, due to the remains that have been found during its renovations. A couple of restorers were in charge of its remodeling, turning it into a kind of cave, with a multitude of works of art, furniture, sculptures and decorative objects, all of them very curious and belonging to different regions of the world.
