Medieval Wall Alcúdia
Medieval Wall Alcúdia
One of the first visions that we have when we arrive in Alcúdia are its impressive walls. The construction of the same dates back to the year 1298, when King Jaime II decided that the Muslim farmhouse of Alcúdia would become a town and be the head of the parish term. This decision responded to purely defensive and strategic needs. The construction of the walls began then, with his reign and would end during the reign of Pedro III of Aragón (El Ceremonioso) in 1362.
