When it comes to high performance, the quality of the grass on the pitch can be as decisive as the technical skills of the footballer who directs the ball.

Copa Mallorca is in charge of selecting all the best venues that host quality fields for the practice of grassroots football.

Natural grass

It is the grass most used in professional soccer fields, and the one that requires more control of the ball, since this type of surface provides more varied changes of rhythm.

Natural grass is still the preferred option for players. Its main virtues are:

Artificial grass

This type of terrain better absorbs impacts and allows greater turning power.

Artificial grass allows a clean ball handling and a bounce without surprises, because it is more uniform and its wear is almost imperceptible.

The referee is the person in charge of directing the match and who has full authority to enforce the Laws of the Game in said match.

In football, there is a main referee - also called a "collegiate" or "referee" - who is in charge of applying the rules of football in a match, giving a record of what happened in it and timing the duration of the match.

All matches are directed by referees federated by the FFIB (Football Federation of the Balearic Islands).
